In May 2005 Christies in Tel Aviv held the auction 19TH & 20TH CENTURY ART, which included the work Surrealistisches Stilleben by Felix Nussbaum. The »bidding war« ended at USD 60,000.00 (€ 48,586.93), 33% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Felix Nussbaum have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Stillleben Mit Schachteln (Still Life With Boxes) in February 2015 with an auction result of GBP 197,000.00 (€ 271,633.74).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 33 % übertroffen
Im Mai 2005 führte Christies in Tel Aviv die Auktion 19TH & 20TH CENTURY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Surrealistisches Stilleben von Felix Nussbaum zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 60.000,00 (€ 48.586,93) und damit 33% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Felix Nussbaum auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Stillleben Mit Schachteln (Still Life With Boxes) im Februar 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 197.000,00 (€ 271.633,74).
