Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 8,750.00 (€ 10,372.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Félix Bracquemond - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Portrait d'Edmond de Goncourt, which sold at auction in January this year for USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,208.69).
