A top price for Fei Yigeng - as previously expected
The work Beauties by Fei Yigeng was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2013. The price achieved of HKD 137,500.00 (€ 13,036.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 120,000.00 – 150,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Beauties is the most expensive artwork by Fei Yigeng that we have observed at auctions so far.

Die Arbeit Beauties von Fei Yigeng wurde im November 2013 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 137.500,00 (€ 13.036,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 120.000,00 – 150.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Beauties das teuerste Kunstwerk von Fei Yigeng, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
