In December 2007 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work The Tambourine Player by Federico Mazzotta. The result of USD 3,000.00 (€ 2,054.37) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Federico Mazzotta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Entertaining The Baby in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,117.04).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im Dezember 2007 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Tambourine Player von Federico Mazzotta zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 3.000,00 (€ 2.054,37) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Federico Mazzotta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Entertaining The Baby im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.117,04).
