Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Federico Mazzotta could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in October 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the 19th Century European Art including Important British Paintings auction, the work Italian Stealing A Taste changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,541.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Federico Mazzotta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Entertaining The Baby in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,117.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Federico Mazzotta konnte im Oktober 2009 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art including Important British Paintings wechselte die Arbeit Italian Stealing A Taste für USD 3.750,00 (€ 2.541,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Federico Mazzotta auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Entertaining The Baby im Juni 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.200,00 (€ 15.117,04).
