In the 19th Century European Art including Important British Paintings auction, the work Italian Stealing A Taste changed hands for USD 3,750.00 (€ 2,541.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Federico Mazzotta have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Entertaining The Baby in June 2005 with an auction result of GBP 10,200.00 (€ 15,117.04).
