Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Federico Cantú could be acquired at Christies in New York in July 2010 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Maternidad changed hands for USD 437.50 (€ 334.76) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Cantú achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Federico Cantú (1908-1989) in November 2017 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 99,806.69).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Federico Cantú konnte im Juli 2010 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Maternidad für USD 437,50 (€ 334,76) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Federico Cantú erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Federico Cantú (1908-1989) im November 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 99.806,69).
