Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings, which included the work Mancha Azul (Blue Stain) by Federico Aguilar Alcuaz. The price achieved of HKD 50,000.00 (€ 4,650.32) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Federico Aguilar Alcuaz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Cockfight in May 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,096,000.00 (€ 128,601.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Southeast Asian Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Mancha Azul (Blue Stain) von Federico Aguilar Alcuaz zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 50.000,00 (€ 4.650,32) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Federico Aguilar Alcuaz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Cockfight im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.096.000,00 (€ 128.601,06).
