Auction result well in line with expectations
The work La Fuggitiva by Fausto Melotti was sold in the Contemporary Curated auction at Sothebys in Milan in July last year. The price achieved of EUR 69,300.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fausto Melotti have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work La Pioggia in October 2017 with an auction result of GBP 548,750.00 (€ 625,682.41).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit La Fuggitiva von Fausto Melotti wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in Mailand versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 69.300,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fausto Melotti auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit La Pioggia im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 548.750,00 (€ 625.682,41).
