A top price for Fang Xun
When the work Tea Tasting by Fang Xun was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 150,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than 17 times as high at HKD 2,670,000.00 (€ 264,779.80). This high result makes Tea Tasting the most expensive artwork by Fang Xun that we have observed at auctions so far.
