Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Fan Chang Tien achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Hong Kong in April 2021. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art auction, the work Sparrows and Plum Blossoms sold for HKD 38,250.00 (€ 4,095.26) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. Admittedly, works by Fan Chang Tien have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Red Plum with Two Rocks in May last year with an auction result of HKD 264,600.00 (€ 31,413.70).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fan Chang Tien erzielte im April 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art wurde die Arbeit Sparrows and Plum Blossoms für HKD 38.250,00 (€ 4.095,26) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Fan Chang Tien auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Red Plum with Two Rocks im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.600,00 (€ 31.413,70).
