Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fan Chang Tien could be acquired at Bonhams in Hong Kong in October 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online auction, the work Red Plum Blossoms and Bamboo changed hands for HKD 10,710.00 (€ 1,191.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fan Chang Tien achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Red Plum with Two Rocks in May last year with an auction result of HKD 264,600.00 (€ 31,413.70).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Fan Chang Tien konnte im Oktober 2021 bei Bonhams in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Southeast Asian Modern & Contemporary Art Online wechselte die Arbeit Red Plum Blossoms and Bamboo für HKD 10.710,00 (€ 1.191,34) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Fan Chang Tien erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Red Plum with Two Rocks im Mai letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.600,00 (€ 31.413,70).
