In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Irish and 20th Century British Art, which included the work Head of Christ by Evie Sydney Hone. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 2,629.00 (€ 3,944.47), 46% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Evie Sydney Hone have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,270.39).

Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Head of Christ von Evie Sydney Hone zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 2.629,00 (€ 3.944,47) und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Evie Sydney Hone auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.270,39).
