In May 2002 Christies in London held the auction THE IRISH SALE, which included the work Abstract composition by Evie Sydney Hone. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,116.25 (€ 1,748.06), 59% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Evie Sydney Hone achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work without title in September 2018 with an auction result of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,270.39).

Im Mai 2002 führte Christies in London die Auktion THE IRISH SALE durch, in der auch die Arbeit Abstract composition von Evie Sydney Hone zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.116,25 (€ 1.748,06) und damit 59% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Evie Sydney Hone erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit ohne Titel im September 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 22.500,00 (€ 25.270,39).
