This artwork by Evie Sydney Hone achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in May 2007. In the The Irish Sale auction, the work Untitled (Mother And Child) sold for GBP 15,600.00 (€ 22,956.46) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 7,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Evie Sydney Hone; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot without title sold at auction in September 2018 with the realized price of GBP 22,500.00 (€ 25,270.39).
