Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Evgen Čopi Gorišek achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Hong Kong in March last year. In the Contemporary Art | Hong Kong auction, the work When That Time Comes sold for HKD 176,400.00 (€ 20,306.75) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Evgen Čopi Gorišek - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Heaven, which sold at auction in April last year for GBP 50,400.00 (€ 60,100.22).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Evgen Čopi Gorišek erzielte im März letzten Jahres bei Sothebys in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Contemporary Art | Hong Kong wurde die Arbeit When That Time Comes für HKD 176.400,00 (€ 20.306,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Evgen Čopi Gorišek mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Heaven beobachtet, die im April letzten Jahres für GBP 50.400,00 (€ 60.100,22) versteigert wurde.
