Auction result well in line with expectations
In February 2008 Christies in Amsterdam held the auction Topographical Observations: Picture your world, which included the work Maashaven Rotterdam: a busy day in the harbour by Evert Moll. The price achieved of EUR 7,450.00 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Evert Moll - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Moored sailing barges in Amsterdam with the St. Nikolaaskerk and the Schreierstoren beyond, which sold at auction in January 2001 for NLG 37,600.00 (€ 16,453.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Februar 2008 führte Christies in Amsterdam die Auktion Topographical Observations: Picture your world durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maashaven Rotterdam: a busy day in the harbour von Evert Moll zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 7.450,00 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Evert Moll mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Moored sailing barges in Amsterdam with the St. Nikolaaskerk and the Schreierstoren beyond beobachtet, die im Januar 2001 für NLG 37.600,00 (€ 16.453,03) versteigert wurde.
