Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Afternoon in the Tatoosh by Eustace Paul Ziegler was sold in the CALIFORNIA, WESTERN AND AMERICAN PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Los Angeles in May 2001. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 8,225.00 (€ 9,727.97) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eustace Paul Ziegler - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Ford, Mt. McKinley, which sold at auction in April this year for USD 38,175.00 (€ 34,578.80).
