Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2002 a collector was able to acquire the work Delta Soil by Eugene Richards for USD 470.00 (€ 542.85). This price was achieved in the auction Photographs at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 500.00 – 700.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugene Richards achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Grandmother, Brooklyn, New York in November 2021 with an auction result of GBP 5,670.00 (€ 6,657.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2002 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Delta Soil von Eugene Richards für USD 470,00 (€ 542,85) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Photographs bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 500,00 – 700,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugene Richards erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Grandmother, Brooklyn, New York im November 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 5.670,00 (€ 6.657,11).
