Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Eugène Galien-Laloue could be acquired at Christies in London in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the British and European Art auction, the work La Porte St Denis changed hands for GBP 8,190.00 (€ 9,780.31) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Galien-Laloue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 99,561.21).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Eugène Galien-Laloue konnte im Juli letzten Jahres bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion British and European Art wechselte die Arbeit La Porte St Denis für GBP 8.190,00 (€ 9.780,31) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Galien-Laloue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 89.625,00 (€ 99.561,21).
