Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Les Grands Boulevards près du théâtre des variétés by Eugène Galien-Laloue was auctioned at Bonhams in April this year. The price achieved of USD 5,355.00 (€ 4,850.54) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Galien-Laloue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 99,561.21).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.355,00 (€ 4.850,54) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Galien-Laloue erzielen.
