The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,190.00 (€ 7,157.84), 37% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Galien-Laloue achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris in April 2002 with an auction result of USD 89,625.00 (€ 99,561.21).

Die Arbeit The Boulevard de Bonne Nouvelle in Paris, under the snow, with the Porte Saint-Denis von Eugène Galien-Laloue wurde im Februar 2024 in der Auktion Old Master & British Drawings bei Christies in New York versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.190,00 (€ 7.157,84) und damit 37% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Galien-Laloue erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bouquinistes sur le quai de Tournelle, Paris im April 2002 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 89.625,00 (€ 99.561,21).
