Auction result well in line with expectations
In August 2017 Christies in New York held the auction Living with Art, which included the work Letting the sheep out by Eugène Fromentin. The price achieved of USD 2,000.00 (€ 1,683.79) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 1,500.00 – 2,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Fromentin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Windstorm On The Esparto Plains Of The Sahara in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 639,000.00 (€ 741,194.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im August 2017 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Living with Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Letting the sheep out von Eugène Fromentin zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.000,00 (€ 1.683,79) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 1.500,00 – 2.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Fromentin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Windstorm On The Esparto Plains Of The Sahara im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 639.000,00 (€ 741.194,17).
