Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2018 Christies in London held the auction 19th Century European & Orientalist Art, which included the work Campement arabe dans les montagnes de l'Atlas by Eugène Fromentin. It changed hands for a price of GBP 18,750.00 (€ 21,022.87) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Fromentin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Windstorm On The Esparto Plains Of The Sahara in October 2019 with an auction result of GBP 639,000.00 (€ 741,194.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2018 führte Christies in London die Auktion 19th Century European & Orientalist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Campement arabe dans les montagnes de l'Atlas von Eugène Fromentin zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 18.750,00 (€ 21.022,87) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Fromentin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Windstorm On The Esparto Plains Of The Sahara im Oktober 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 639.000,00 (€ 741.194,17).
