Sold at the upper estimate price
In May 2019 Bukowski in Stockholm held the auction Modern Art + Design, which included the work Composition by Eugène de Sala. The auction ended at the price of SEK 60,000.00 (€ 5,656.11), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of SEK 50,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugène de Sala have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Notre dames des lesbes" in November 2020 with an auction result of SEK 330,000.00 (€ 32,259.79).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Mai 2019 führte Bukowski in Stockholm die Auktion Modern Art + Design durch, in der auch die Arbeit Composition von Eugène de Sala zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von SEK 60.000,00 (€ 5.656,11) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von SEK 50.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugène de Sala auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Notre dames des lesbes" im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 330.000,00 (€ 32.259,79).
