In the Impressionist & Modern Art | New York auction, the work The Water-Melon and 3 Red Peppers sold for USD 11,340.00 (€ 9,656.82) - well above the upper estimate of USD 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Eugene Berman have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Backview of Proserpina in Black in May this year with an auction result of USD 68,040.00 (€ 63,863.34).

Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Eugene Berman auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Backview of Proserpina in Black im Mai diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 68.040,00 (€ 63.863,34).
