Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Interior of a Working Class Home, rue de Romainville by Eugène Atget was auctioned at Bonhams in May this year. It changed hands for a price of USD 765.00 (€ 718.04) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 600.00 – 800.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Atget achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme, 1925 in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 444,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Interior of a Working Class Home, rue de Romainville von Eugène Atget kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 765,00 (€ 718,04) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Atget erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme, 1925 im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 444.750,00.
