Auction result misses estimated price range
In May this year a collector was able to acquire the work Coiffeur, avenue de l'Observatoire by Eugène Atget for USD 484.50 (€ 454.76). This price was achieved in the auction Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner at Bonhams and was even below the estimate range of USD 600.00 – 800.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eugène Atget achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Femme, 1925 in November 2009 with an auction result of EUR 444,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Coiffeur, avenue de l'Observatoire von Eugène Atget für USD 484,50 (€ 454,76) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Prints & Photographs | Bonhams Skinner bei Bonhams erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 600,00 – 800,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eugène Atget erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Femme, 1925 im November 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 444.750,00.
