Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2003 Christies in New York held the auction Fine 19th Century European Art, which included the work A New Friend by Ettore Forti. Here, the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 16,730.00 (€ 13,623.78). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ettore Forti - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work At the Fruit Sellers, which sold at auction in October 2003 for USD 53,775.00 (€ 46,321.82).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2003 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine 19th Century European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit A New Friend von Ettore Forti zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 16.730,00 (€ 13.623,78) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ettore Forti mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit At the Fruit Sellers beobachtet, die im Oktober 2003 für USD 53.775,00 (€ 46.321,82) versteigert wurde.
