This work without title by Etsu Egami was sold in the Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in July last year. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 529,200.00 (€ 66,033.29), 32% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Etsu Egami have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rainbow in April this year with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 32 % übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Etsu Egami wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Contemporary Curated: Hong Kong bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 529.200,00 (€ 66.033,29) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Etsu Egami auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rainbow im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
