The work Face by Etsu Egami was sold in the Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at POLY in Hong Kong in July last year. It achieved a price of HKD 180,000.00 (€ 22,460.30), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Etsu Egami achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Rainbow in April this year with an auction result of HKD 264,000.00 (€ 269,595.65).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 50 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Face von Etsu Egami wurde im Juli letzten Jahres in der Auktion Modern and Contemporary Art Day Sale bei POLY in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 180.000,00 (€ 22.460,30) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Etsu Egami erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Rainbow im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 264.000,00 (€ 269.595,65).
