Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Timber Crane, 1926 by Ethel Spowers was sold in the Important Australian Art auction at Bonhams in Sydney in November this year. It changed hands for a price of AUD 17,220.00 (€ 10,441.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of AUD 14,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ethel Spowers have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Bank Holiday, 1935 in November 2020 with an auction result of AUD 79,950.00 (€ 66,914.96).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Timber Crane, 1926 von Ethel Spowers wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion Important Australian Art bei Bonhams in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von AUD 17.220,00 (€ 10.441,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 14.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ethel Spowers auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Bank Holiday, 1935 im November 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 79.950,00 (€ 66.914,96).
