Auction result well in line with expectations
The work John Lennon Listening to the “White Album”, London by Ethan Russell was sold in the Music auction at Phillips in London in November 2009. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,103.89) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ethan Russell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work John Lennon Listening to the Playback of "The White Album", which sold at auction in December 2019 for USD 10,075.00 (€ 8,973.90).
