Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 350,000.00 (€ 300,506.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Esaias van de Velde have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work An Elegant Company In A Garden in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,953,000.00 (€ 1,896,839.67).

Die Arbeit A winter landscape with a farmhouse, windmills and figures von Esaias van de Velde wurde im Oktober 2020 in der Auktion The Martin Feldstein Collection: Dutch Art in the Golden Age bei Christies in New York versteigert.
