In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction The Martin Feldstein Collection: Dutch Art in the Golden Age, which included the work A landscape with a horse-drawn ferry, the city of The Hague with the Grote Kerk beyond by Esaias van de Velde. The auction ended at the price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 42,929.51), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of USD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Esaias van de Velde achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work An Elegant Company In A Garden in April 2008 with an auction result of USD 2,953,000.00 (€ 1,896,839.67).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Martin Feldstein Collection: Dutch Art in the Golden Age durch, in der auch die Arbeit A landscape with a horse-drawn ferry, the city of The Hague with the Grote Kerk beyond von Esaias van de Velde zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 42.929,51) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Esaias van de Velde erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit An Elegant Company In A Garden im April 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.953.000,00 (€ 1.896.839,67).
