This artwork by Erwin Wurm achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in Hong Kong in November 2021. In the 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction auction, the work Modernist Pickle sold for HKD 529,200.00 (€ 58,841.68) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Erwin Wurm - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Fat Car, which sold at auction in December 2017 for EUR 150,000.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Erwin Wurm erzielte im November 2021 bei Phillips in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale in Association with Poly Auction wurde die Arbeit Modernist Pickle für HKD 529.200,00 (€ 58.841,68) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Erwin Wurm mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Fat Car beobachtet, die im Dezember 2017 für EUR 150.000,00 versteigert wurde.
