It achieved a price of USD 5,737.50 (€ 5,700.45), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 64%. Admittedly, works by Erwin Olaf have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hallway from Hope in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20).

Die Arbeit The Dancing School, Rain Series von Erwin Olaf wurde im August letzten Jahres in der Auktion PhotographsSummer Cut bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 5.737,50 (€ 5.700,45) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 64%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erwin Olaf auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Hallway from Hope im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20).
