In the From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection auction, the work Kyoto, Room 211 sold for EUR 7,095.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 4,000.00. Admittedly, works by Erwin Olaf have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Hallway from Hope in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 43,750.00 (€ 34,916.20).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Erwin Olaf erzielte im Juni 2021 bei VAN HAM einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion From a Universal Collector - The Olbricht Collection wurde die Arbeit Kyoto, Room 211 für EUR 7.095,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 4.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Erwin Olaf auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Hallway from Hope im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 43.750,00 (€ 34.916,20).
