Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2010 Christies in London held the auction Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day, which included the work Grapes, pomegranates, apricots and other fruit in a niche by Ernst Stuven. The price achieved of GBP 25,000.00 (€ 30,059.68) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ernst Stuven - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Roses, a lily and convulvulus in a glass vase, with two red admiral butterflies and a caterpillar, on a wooden ledge, which sold at auction in April 2005 for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,927.86).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2010 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master & 19th Century Paintings, Drawings & Watercolours Day durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grapes, pomegranates, apricots and other fruit in a niche von Ernst Stuven zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 25.000,00 (€ 30.059,68) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ernst Stuven mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Roses, a lily and convulvulus in a glass vase, with two red admiral butterflies and a caterpillar, on a wooden ledge beobachtet, die im April 2005 für GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.927,86) versteigert wurde.
