Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2016 Christies in London held the auction Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale, which included the work A Semper Augustus tulip, an iris, peonies, cherry blossoms, lilies, roses and other flowers in a glass vase, with butterflies and an open pocket watch on a blue ribbon, in a niche above a classical sculpted low relief by Ernst Stuven. It changed hands for a price of GBP 37,500.00 (€ 44,558.11) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 30,000.00 – 40,000.00. Other works by Ernst Stuven have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2005 the work Roses, a lily and convulvulus in a glass vase, with two red admiral butterflies and a caterpillar, on a wooden ledge was auctioned for GBP 54,000.00 (€ 79,927.86).

Im Juli 2016 führte Christies in London die Auktion Old Master and British Paintings Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Semper Augustus tulip, an iris, peonies, cherry blossoms, lilies, roses and other flowers in a glass vase, with butterflies and an open pocket watch on a blue ribbon, in a niche above a classical sculpted low relief von Ernst Stuven zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 37.500,00 (€ 44.558,11) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 30.000,00 – 40.000,00. Andere Arbeiten von Ernst Stuven konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im April 2005 die Arbeit Roses, a lily and convulvulus in a glass vase, with two red admiral butterflies and a caterpillar, on a wooden ledge für GBP 54.000,00 (€ 79.927,86) versteigert.
