Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ernesto Caivano could be acquired at Christies in New York in January 2009 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Block Incantations changed hands for USD 1,500.00 (€ 1,171.51) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ernesto Caivano achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Birds and Waterfall (I-IV) in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 39,400.00 (€ 26,824.62).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernesto Caivano konnte im Januar 2009 bei Christies in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wechselte die Arbeit Block Incantations für USD 1.500,00 (€ 1.171,51) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ernesto Caivano erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Birds and Waterfall (I-IV) im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 39.400,00 (€ 26.824,62).
