Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Ernest Pignon-Ernest achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in Paris in March 2021. In the NOW! auction, the work without title sold for EUR 6,048.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ernest Pignon-Ernest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Et Goliath, 1990 in February 2014 with an auction result of EUR 26,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ernest Pignon-Ernest erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in Paris einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion NOW! wurde diese Arbeit ohne Titel für EUR 6.048,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 3.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Pignon-Ernest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit David Et Goliath, 1990 im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.000,00.
