Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Extases (Installation Chapelle Saint-Charles, Avignon, 2008) - 2009 by Ernest Pignon-Ernest was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art II auction at Artcurial in Paris in June 2019. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 5,850.00 17% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Ernest Pignon-Ernest have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work David Et Goliath, 1990 in February 2014 with an auction result of EUR 26,000.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Extases (Installation Chapelle Saint-Charles, Avignon, 2008) - 2009 von Ernest Pignon-Ernest wurde im Juni 2019 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art II bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 5.850,00 und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ernest Pignon-Ernest auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit David Et Goliath, 1990 im Februar 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 26.000,00.
