This price was achieved in the auction NOW! at Sothebys in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 3,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Ernest Pignon-Ernest; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot David Et Goliath, 1990 sold at auction in February 2014 with the realized price of EUR 26,000.00.
