This artwork by Erik Andriesse achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. In the Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations auction, the work Papaver - Poppy sold for EUR 2,125.00 - well above the upper estimate of EUR 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erik Andriesse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giraf en springbok in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 77 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Erik Andriesse erzielte im September 2010 bei Christies in Amsterdam einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations wurde die Arbeit Papaver - Poppy für EUR 2.125,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erik Andriesse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Giraf en springbok im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.500,00.
