Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Leeuwenschedel - Lion's skull by Erik Andriesse was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in September 2010. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,375.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erik Andriesse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giraf en springbok in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.
