The »bidding war« ended at EUR 4,375.00 46% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Erik Andriesse achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Giraf en springbok in October 2021 with an auction result of EUR 47,500.00.

Die Arbeit Amaryllises von Erik Andriesse wurde im September 2010 in der Auktion Nineteen to Now,Art from the 19th, 20th and 21st centuries including Indonesian Art and Topographical Observations bei Christies in Amsterdam versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 4.375,00 und damit 46% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Erik Andriesse erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Giraf en springbok im Oktober 2021 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 47.500,00.
