Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings, which included the work Deep Impression by Eric Ho Kay-Nam. The price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,752.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Eric Ho Kay-Nam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Taihang Gorge, which sold at auction in May 2019 for HKD 137,500.00 (€ 15,736.84).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Deep Impression von Eric Ho Kay-Nam zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.752,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Eric Ho Kay-Nam mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Taihang Gorge beobachtet, die im Mai 2019 für HKD 137.500,00 (€ 15.736,84) versteigert wurde.
