Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Eric Gill achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in November 2016. In the Day Auction auction, the work Study For Altar (Proposed) For Church Of 1St Martyrs, Bradford sold for GBP 5,625.00 (€ 6,636.95) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 2,500.00.
