Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Bull Fight by Eric Detthow was auctioned at Bukowski in Stockholm in August 2010, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of SEK 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for SEK 5,500.00 (€ 587.49). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Eric Detthow achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Restaurant interior in October 2018 with an auction result of SEK 270,000.00 (€ 26,042.18).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Bull Fight von Eric Detthow im August 2010 bei Bukowski in Stockholm versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von SEK 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für SEK 5.500,00 (€ 587,49) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Eric Detthow erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Restaurant interior im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 270.000,00 (€ 26.042,18).
