Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2000 a collector was able to acquire the work Composizione by Ercole Pignatelli for ITL 305,500.00 (€ 262.01). This price was achieved in the auction Arte del XX secolo at Christies in Milan and was even below the estimate range of ITL 500,000.00 – 600,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ercole Pignatelli achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Vaso rosso in May 2007 with an auction result of EUR 19,840.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2000 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Composizione von Ercole Pignatelli für ITL 305.500,00 (€ 262,01) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Arte del XX secolo bei Christies in Mailand erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von ITL 500.000,00 – 600.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ercole Pignatelli erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Vaso rosso im Mai 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 19.840,00.
